Sanctions On Javad Zarif, Iran’s Approaches And Policies

On Wednesday, July 31, the United States sanctioned Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. The move drew international media attention, topping the world news covered by various journalists and commentators. It has been discussed from various angles and numerous commentaries have been made on this subject.

In fact, the US had said about a month ago that it wanted to sanction Zarif.

But the question is, why didn’t America do it at the time? And what was the reason for this delay?

A while ago, US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced a Sanction on Khamenei, his office and assets, saying Zarif’s regime secretary of state would also be sanctioned, but the US did not sanction Zarif.

Zarif was on the verge of traveling to the United States to attend some United Nations summits and the point was that Zarif wanted to seize the opportunity to open a diplomatic path with America.

It was said at the time that while the mullahs’ regime was pretending to be negotiating, the US does not want to accuse it because of sanctioning Javad Zarif.

So America wanted to give the Iranian regime a chance, or in other words, it was a test but the answer came in the negative.

IRNA’s state-run news agency on Thursday August 1st commented on Javad Zarif’s boycott stating that “Zarif’s sanction may halt efforts to find a solution to the crisis”.

It points to the failure of US efforts to resolve the problem peacefully and writes:

“In the event that the issue arose between the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe to Tehran and the efforts of French President Emmanuel Macron to mediate between Iran and the United States. The predominant conjecture was to delay the sanction on Javad Zarif in connection with these efforts That there could be some kind of dialogue between the parties. Given Abe’s ineffectual journey and after three weeks of Macron’s efforts, it can be said that from Trump’s point of view, the prospect of Iranian officials agreeing to negotiations has been dark so he has acted as a threat to the foreign minister’s sanction.”

The agency may have either ignored or forgotten the Iranian regime’s raiding of the English tanker in the Strait of Hormuz , but the US had not forgotten it, and US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said of the listing:

The United States sends a clear message to the Iranian regime that its recent behavior is absolutely unacceptable.

The sanction on Javad Zarif appears to have been the US response to the mullahs’ regime’s action about hijacking of a tanker, just as the sanction on Khamenei was the US response to the Japanese tanker bombing that had taken place at the same time as the Japanese prime minister met with Khamenei in Tehran.

In fact, in the process between the Iran regime and the United States, the US government has come to a more accurate and objective understanding of the nature of the regime.

In fact, in the process between the Iran regime and the United States, the US government has come to a more accurate and objective understanding of the nature of the regime.

For example, in the system of Vali-e Faqih’s absolutist tyranny, it is important to maintain the system, and all the bands, despite the internal struggle for power and plunder, are in full compliance with his orders.

And the role of people like Javad Zarif is only to justify Khamenei’s crimes and atrocities.

What is the logic behind US sanctions and what do they mean?

The declared US policy is to exert maximum economic and political pressure on the Iran regime. This policy is also based on the fact that negotiations with this regime have no benefit. The regime is too weak to be able to come to the negotiating table. So if it comes to negotiation, it is just fraud and time-consuming.

If this regime can one day truly negotiate and reconcile, it is the day that it has seen its overthrow.

And until that day, it is unwilling to give up oppression and executions inside Iran and expansionism and terrorism outside its borders.

It should be noted that any country that does not pursue Illegitimate economic interests with this regime understands and follows this logic.

In a recent speech, Ms. Maryam Rajavi said:

Velayat-e Faqih, the source of war

Now the obscuring curtains are being pulled away one by one. Everyone can clearly see that the source of war and warmongering is the velayat-e faqih regime. As the Iranian Resistance said from the outset, fighting against this regime is equivalent to seeking peace because it eliminates the source of war and turmoil.
The spin doctors of the clerical regime used to claim that if the mullahs were to be overthrown, Iran would experience war, turmoil and secessions. Now, everyone can see that so long as this regime remains in place, war and crises will continue and intensify in the region. Therefore, anyone who seeks freedom for Iran, anyone who wants to save Iran from destruction and chaos, anyone who wants global and regional peace and stability, must rise up to demand the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime.

The big ruse created by proponents of appeasement

The proponents of appeasement seek to paint the policy of firmness against the regime as being tantamount to warmongering. But this is a big ruse and deception. Giving the mullahs any more chances will only end up emboldening them. Their path must be blocked.

The United States now seems to have finally realized this fact about Iran regime after trying all the ways with this regime.

It is hoped that Europe will also reach this point and join the people of Iran and the region and the awakened consciences around the world against the regime that is the plague of contemporary humanity.
