Thousands of protesters marched on the US consulate in Hong Kong on Sunday, calling on the US president to “free Hong Kong.”
In the wake of recent months of protests in Hong Kong, protesters marched from a central park in Hong Kong to the US Consulate on Sunday, chanting “Resistance to Beijing”, “Hong Kong Freedom” and “Fight For Freedom,” the Associated Press reported.
Many protesters were wearing black masks, waving American flags and chanted “President Trump please free Hong Kong”. Anti-riot police were present at the march around the US Consulate.
The march was held amid protests that erupted last night between police and protesters.
