Hong Kong Doctor uses animal characters to promote public health

The workload of medical staff has increased drastically since the spread of Wuhan pneumonia to Hong Kong. A doctor in Hong Kong has taken her break time to create illustrations with health advice, work with Sham Shui Po District Council to promote personal hygiene and other health precautions during this coronavirus outbreak.

In the illustrations, a gorilla is shown washing hands, and a leopard is wearing a mask. Together with six other animals they form a team promoting useful anti-epidemic information in doctor’s uniforms.

Dr. Lucci Liyeung is the illustrator and an orthopedic surgery resident in a public hospital. She has always been in love with drawing, and created these animal characters several years ago. She wishes to address the public’s concerns over the epidemic with her illustrations.
