Chinese officials met with the Taliban political deputy Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar in Doha today. They spoke about security of Chinese companies in Afghanistan. They also talked about COVID19 spread in Afghanistan and how to control it with the help of China.
It should be alarming to the US that the Chinese are filling the void as American troops are withdrawing from Afghanistan. What could this mean for the future of Afghanistan? Only time can tell, but it doesn’t look good.
