On Saturday, January 22, 2022, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Braham Salih met with the Iraqi Prime minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
The latest developments related matters in Iraq were discussed during the meeting. President Salih and Mustafa al-Kadhimi also agreed on the importance of maintaining security and stability in the country.
Both larders placed emphasis on the need to continue the fight against terrorism, work to prevent any instability or insecurity in Iraq and prevent terrorist crimes that could endanger citizens’ lives or property.
The participants stressed the need to strengthen the authority of the Iraqi state and its security agencies, as this was the best way to achieve stability and peace in the country.
Talks focused on the importance of working together as well as bringing all national positions closer together.
In this way, we can achieve security and stability, carry out the national tasks and meet the needs of Iraqi citizens as well as responding their demands to live a life of freedom and dignity.
