Hamas released its first official statement after an Israeli airstrike targeted a meeting in Doha, Qatar, confirming that all members of its delegation survived the attack. However, the bombing claimed the lives of six individuals: Jihad Labad (Abu Bilal), director of Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya’s office; Hammam Al-Hayya (Abu Yahya), son of Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya; Abdullah Abdul Wahid (Abu Khalil); Moamen Hassouna (Abu Omar); Ahmed Al-Mamluk (Abu Malik); and a Qatari security official.
Israeli officials reported that the operation involved over 10 Israeli Air Force aircraft, which deployed more than 10 munitions to strike a building in Doha where Hamas leaders were believed to be gathered. The attack was executed with precision, hitting the target within seconds. The operation included multiple aerial refueling missions conducted by Boeing 707 aircraft from the 120th “Desert Giants” squadron. The aircraft likely flew over Syria and Iraq, possibly launching the strike from southern Iraq or the Persian Gulf.
