Venezuela receives 2nd tanker built by Iran

This Saturday, Iran delivered to Venezuela, in a ceremony in the Persian Gulf, the second Aframax tanker, out of a total of four ordered by the Latin American country.

The vessel, built by the Naval Industrial Company of Iran, SADRA, is 250 m long and can carry the equivalent of 800,000 barrels of oil.

The delivery ceremony was attended by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi from Tehran via video conference, according to Iranian news agency Tasnim.

Maduro is currently on a visit to Iran, during which he signed a 20-year cooperation pact with the Islamic Republic in several areas, including tourism, culture and technology.
