The National Federation of Trade Unions of China ( ACFTU ) will donate US $ 300 thousand – about R $ 1.7 million – to the Brazilian union centrals .
ACFTU is China’s official union , to which all workers’ organizations in the Asian country are affiliated.
The commitment was made official in a letter sent by Jiang Guangping , vice president of ACFTU, to the presidents of the centrals that are part of the Brazilian Union Central Forum. Are they:
- CSB
- CUT
- Union Force
- UGT
- CTB
- Nova Central
The use of funds will still be defined by the Forum of Union Centers.
According to ACFTU, the money should be used by Brazilian union centrals to implement actions against the coronavirus .
