The President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih met with the Head of the Progress Alliance Mohammed al-Halbousi.
The country’s overall circumstances in addition to the recent developments in politics and the legislative election held recently were discussed during the meeting.
President Salih and Leader of the Progress Alliance, Mr. al-Halbousi emphasized how important it was to promote security and stability in Iraq.
To do so, we have to bring positions together, and all should be engaged in efforts for having a positive dialogue to resolve political problems, they jointly agreed.
Meeting participants emphasized that differences of view should be narrowed and resolved once for all while democratic process should be kept on track, and all should commit to the legal and constitutional contexts.
Mr. President and his guest spoke about the importance of concerted efforts to meet the aspirations of Iraqi people, improve the living conditions and provide them with the best possible service.
