On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih met with the First Deputy Speaker of Iraqi Parliament, Hakim al-Zamili. The meeting was held at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.

Talks focused on the need to establish security and stability in the country while stressing how important it was to accelerate the enactment of laws that would better serve the Iraqi citizens and improve the living conditions, with a focus on laws enhancing the functioning of the State institutions.
