Ali Larijani: “Hezbollah is alive and resilient”

During his visit to Lebanon, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met with Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem. Qassem thanked Iran for its unwavering support for Lebanon and its resistance against Israel, emphasizing the deep ties of brotherhood between the Iranian and Lebanese peoples as a foundation for regional resilience.

On Wednesday evening, Larijani visited the tomb of former Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, where he praised Nasrallah’s legacy, calling Hezbollah “a vibrant, enduring movement and a source of pride for Islam.” He described Nasrallah’s path as a blend of reason and resistance. Speaking to Hezbollah members, Larijani acknowledged the hostility they face, saying, “This reflects your influence. Stay steadfast in resistance, and we will always stand with you.”

While insisting Iran does not meddle in other nations’ affairs, Larijani reaffirmed support for resistance movements, calling Nasrallah “a great asset to the Islamic world” for his dedication, authentic Islamic thought, and spiritual depth.
