Protestors Use Netanyahu Effigy in Soccer Demonstration Outside UN Headquarters

A group of activists, including Jewish and Palestinian participants, staged a provocative protest outside the United Nations headquarters in New York, kicking around a replica of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s head.

The demonstration, organized in collaboration with the American activist collective INDECLINE, was designed to highlight what Spanish artist Eugenio Merino, who crafted the effigy, described as the “genocide currently being perpetrated in Gaza.” In a social media post, Merino stated the action aimed to draw global attention to the ongoing conflict.
