An explosion hit a Polish supermarket in the Beverhof shopping center in Beverwijk

An explosion hit a Polish supermarket in the Beverhof shopping center in Beverwijk, on early Wednesday morning. This is the third blast to strike a Polish store in two days, in the Netherlands. The explosion happened at around 05:15 (04:15 GMT) and severely damaged the façade of the supermarket, with no reported injuries or casualties according to local authorities.

 

Police and firefighters were seen investigating the cordoned off site, where debris were scattered around. This was the third explosion that happened in two days, as two other Polish shops were damaged in the night from Monday to Tuesday in Heeswijk-Dinther and Aalsmeer. The latter is reported to belong to the same owner as that of Beverhof’s. Authorities are yet to clarify the cause of the explosions.
